A Message From Transformed Weight Loss Coach Heather Kennett
Who are you? How do you speak to yourself? Do you speak kindly to yourself?
Transformed members who visit me regularly have been part of the 'I Am' project on the wall in the office. I gave people 3 minutes on the timer to write 7 positive things about themselves. It was interesting for me to see the response to this activity.
Many found it very difficult to be able to write down positive affirmations about themselves...
Why is this?
Why do we find it so hard to be able to think positive things about ourselves?
Is it because you have been told you are no good, that you are a failure, that you can't complete things, that you are not successful, that you are lazy etc etc etc...you know the chatter that plays in our head.
What we focus on it seems is what we get. If you keep playing these negative thoughts or believing them then you will find it difficult to see the good in anything.
Like the saying 'if you think you can you can but if you think you can you can't'. I want to encourage you to change your negative mindset. Rewind and reword the negative thoughts playing in your head.
Believe me we all have challenging days when everything seems to go wrong. Everyone does.
You are not alone.
Sometimes, I think we have a competition as to whose day was worse!
If we wake up and think of all the positive things we have in life and focus on the good the more we WILL see that is good . We will feed off each others positive messages rather than dwelling on the negative.
When I am feeling negative, I reach for chocolate.
However, if I fill my cup up with delicious blueberries and strawberries, I am nourishing myself with food that makes me feel good.
